Privacy policy
Habit Pause is an Android app published by the developer of habitpause.com. This policy describes the app as it works today. Contact support@habitpause.com with privacy questions.
Data stored on your phone
Screen time, app sessions, daily allowances, pause settings, and scroll counts are stored in a private database on the device. Habit Pause does not upload that history to a server run by the developer.
Permissions
- Usage Access measures how long apps are in the foreground.
- The floating timer uses permission to draw over other apps.
- Notifications can remind you before a daily allowance runs out.
- The scroll counter uses an Accessibility Service only for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. It reads structural view identifiers and vertical scroll metadata. It does not read screen text, video frames, keystrokes, screenshots, or URLs. Only aggregate counts are saved on the device. Pause Gate uses foreground app changes separately and does not read the contents of other apps.
Purchases
If you buy a subscription, Google Play processes the payment. Habit Pause does not receive your card number.
Deleting data
You can delete recorded usage history in the app under Data & Privacy. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from the phone.
