Data deletion
Delete your Habit Pause data.
Habit Pause has no accounts and no cloud storage, and the app doesn't use the internet. Your usage records, budgets and settings live on your phone, so deleting them is in your hands. You don't need to contact us or reinstall anything.

1. Clear usage data in the app
- Open Habit Pause and go to Settings.
- Tap Data & Privacy, then Clear All Usage Data.
- Confirm. Your recorded sessions, app usage, history, Pause Gate and reminder history and scroll counts are permanently removed from this device. Your budgets and schedules are kept. This can't be undone.
2. Clear storage in Android
- Open Android Settings, then Apps, then Habit Pause.
- Tap Storage (or Storage & cache), then Clear storage or Clear data.
This removes everything, including budgets, schedules and settings, and the app starts fresh the next time you open it. Menu names vary a little between phone makers.
3. Uninstall
Press and hold the app icon, choose Uninstall, or remove it from the Play Store. Android deletes the app's stored data with it.
Remove permissions
Deleting data does not turn off the accesses you granted. To remove them, open Android Settings and switch off Habit Pause under Usage access, Display over other apps, Notifications and, if you used Pause Gate or Scroll Counter, Accessibility.
Subscriptions
Pro is not on sale yet. Once it is, deleting your data won't cancel it. Cancel in Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, choose Habit Pause and tap Cancel subscription. Details are in the Terms of Use.
Data we hold about you
We hold no usage data about you, because it never leaves your phone. The only personal data we might have is an email you sent us. To have it deleted, write to us. You don't need to open or reinstall the app.

Subject: Deletion request – Habit Pause. Send it from the address you wrote to us from, so we can find your messages.
We acknowledge within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days.
On this website
The website stores only your light or dark theme choice, a sound on or off choice and the demo meter position, in your own browser. Clear your browser's site data for habitpause.com to remove them. See the Privacy Policy.
What stays
- Purchase records held by Google Play, under Google's own policies.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, such as a record of a complaint. We hold no usage data about you.
